Boarding your horse at Hill Top

The owners, Paul & Debra Schardt started this farm back in 2001 with the intention of just having a couple horses and riding with the kids for fun, as everyone in the horse industry knows, one horse turns into 2 then 3, and so on.....
We've turned our love of horses into a small equine business with the help of professionals in the industry.

Boarding at Hill Top is family & horse friendly.

Stalls:
In the main barn we have 12x12 matted stalls and one larger stall for medical purposes (11x20).
In the winter all stalls have heated water buckets.
The front of each stall is open with no bars.
A new indoor arena scheduled to open in June will have 6 additional stalls (10x12). They will be matted and have heated buckets.

Feed:
Boarding fee includes the daily (1-2x daily) of pellet and grain feed. Amounts adjusted to each horse's needs.
(We currently feed Nutrena products)
Fresh hay is given 2-3x daily in generous amounts (also adjusted to meet the needs of each horse).
Supplemental hay is given in pastures when grass is low.
Fresh water is always available.
**SUPPLEMENTS- we do not charge to add supplements to your horses daily feed. Owner must supply supplements.

Turnout:
On our main property we have several paddocks and turnout areas. Horses are turned out as much as possible weather permitting.

A short walk up the road we have 14+ acres with 5 fenced turnout areas with approx 1+ acres each with trees and open fields.
These areas are enclosed with hot wire.

Trail riding:
Public trails- A mile up our quiet country road is a NYS forest preserve with 4000 acres of state land, bisected by miles of mapped trails.
Private trails- We also have a trail around our 14 acres that is great for a short ride (learning to trail ride), a ride with the kids or just by yourself.

Arenas:
We currently have a 60x120 outdoor lighted arena with sand footing.
In June that arena will become an indoor & expanded in size to 60x144
We will also be adding a large outdoor arena
Boarders may utilize the arenas during open hours, & when not in use for lessons (schedule posted in barn)

Open Hours:
